Optical transcriber
By Robbie Rhodes

Mark Fontana,

I'd love to hear about your optical transcribing system, as would
the Hungarian researchers, Zoli Janosy and Janos Macsai, and our
moderator Jody Kravitz. Can you send a "preview synopsis"? Tell us
things like the line-pair resolution you have achieved, and your
paper handling system. How fast can it run (frames per second)?

Keying in velocity during playback is a nifty idea. I always
thought I'd have to fit a pressure transducer to the vacuum reserve
of my pumper piano to record the accents. I would certainly like to
be a beta tester.
