I was watching the tv show"Personal FX" about six months ago and
towards the very end of the show they showed a picture of a violin
someone sent in for an appraisal.  It had a picture of someone
decopaged (?sp) on the top.  Also there were no tuning pegs or finger
board.  In the inside they wrote "there is a label in the inside with
Mills Novelty Company on it".  I could not believe my eyes.  There was
a picture of Henry K. Sandell glued to the top of this violin with an
inscription from his employees.  It was also said that it was a wall
hanging.  I don't remember where the picture was sent from.  It had to
have been in Mr. Sandells home or office.  I tried to call for two days
but was blown off by the network and told it was too late to bid.  They
would not tell me any more about the violin or who owned it.  The best
part of the story was the appraisal.  Both experts said that the violin
was never meant to be played since it had no pegs or finger board and
was just a novelty.

They put a value of $15.  Yes you heard me right $15.

Did anyone else out there see this and does anyone know what happened
to this prize collectable?

I think this is what dealers call a "sleeper".
