Re: Piano Action Problems
By Robin Pratt

Regarding Thomas Henden's Duo-Art problems, Digest 96.12.02:

It sounds like 99.9% of your problems are _piano action_ related, and
not _player action_ related. If your current technician cannot address
the issue of repeating notes etc., then get another technician. If the
piano action is where you have spent the _least_ amount of money, then
you should think about the fact that the piano action is the direct
link from the player action to the actual structure of the piano
itself! The player unit produces no music. Rebuild the piano action
properly; that is the most important part.

Second-guessing the problems of the piano action with concerns about
bleed sizes, silicone pouching techniques, etc., will only frustrate
you in your restoration attempts. Rebuild it the way it left the
factory. Best of luck to you.
