Replacing the Piano Hammers
By Damon Atchison

Thanks, Spencer, for your advice on piano rebuilding. I just had a piano
tuner/tech here yesterday and he said everything looked good except the
hammers, which look like they need replacement for sure. He would send 4
samples to a piano restoration shop in Chicago, who can completely rebuild
all the hammers at the precise angle that they were originally. It costs
a little more but he says it's certainly worth the money. He is a piano
rebuilder who has a web site at

    http//.www.cris.com/~simp/piano
