Replacing the Piano Hammers

Thanks, Spencer, for your advice on piano rebuilding. I just had a piano tuner/tech here yesterday and he said everything looked good except the hammers, which look like they need replacement for sure. He would send 4 samples to a piano restoration shop in Chicago, who can completely rebuild all the hammers at the precise angle that they were originally. It costs a little more but he says it's certainly worth the money. He is a piano rebuilder who has a web site at
