FS: Hammond Solovox
By D. L. Bullock

Does anyone know anything about Hammond Solovox? This device was
probably from the 40's-50's and consisted of a speaker box that sat on
one end of the upright piano and a small keyboard with stop rocker tabs
on the front for changing organ tones. The keyboard was to screw to the
treble end of the piano keyboard and in front so an organ solo voice
(vox) could be played at the same time as left hand piano accompaniment
was played.

They made 4 models of this "instrument" during its market run. I have
one of each of the units made and I have decided that they should belong
to someone who can truly appreciate them. I am a pipe organ man myself.
The one at Miles Museum went for $25.00 so I am entertaining offers. I
would also love to donate them to someone building a museum of Hammond
Clock Company organ-shaped devices.
