Repairing Hammond Model BA Player Organ
By Daniel D. Tenerowicz

Greetings all; I am trying to repair a (I believe) a broken note wire
on the pedal board of my Hammond Model B-A player organ. All the other
notes [work] save for the affected note.

I have been told that all I need to do is solder the broken wire. One
problem: how do I gain access to the drawbars? I do realize there is
a bunch of wires and rubber tubes in front of the drawbar assembly.

I tried to contact the "repitable" Hammond dealer in the Buffalo, New
York, but he cringes at this repair and/or does not actually wish to do
this repair. There is a wooden board that has four screws that need to
be unscrewed, but they do not loosen that wooden strip to gain access to
the drawbars. Might anyone know a way to gain access so I can have a
functioning pedal board? Many, many thanks!
