Cabaret Songs
By Ingmar Krause

Well, ... you put me in big troubles. Of course I know about the film
"Der blaue Engel", built up out of "Professor Unrat" by Heinrich Mann,
but I dunno if I have all titles of the songs in mind. (I'm not talking
about the English titles.) Let me try:

 - Ich bin die fesche Lola, der Liebling der Saison
 - Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf Liebe eingestellt
 - ... (?)

 [ Transl. from German (_not_ the English titles):
 [ = " I'm dressy Lola, the darling of the season "
 [ = " From head to foot I'm falling in love "

We ourselves have "Ich bin die fesche Lola" for 20-keyless (did everyone
see my picture on the Web?) and partially on 48-key. I would have to
look up if we have "Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss...", but I wouldn't be
surprised to find it in our archive for 20-keyless, too. Don't ask me
for piano-rolls, I haven't got the whole list in my mind.

Now, for my part, I think this being a poor start.

"Ich bin die fesche Lola" has a nice text, but I dislike the image of me
dressed as a Call Girl to sing it.

 [ I think you would be cute ! What color dress will you wear? ;)

"Ich bin von Kopf bis Fuss auf _Liebe_ eingestellt" isn't bad at all,
too, but as you can see out of the title it is something about love again
and the text is made for at least a women (mustn't be a Call Girl).

 [ Wear a different dress !  ;)

No, what I'm looking for is real humorous cabaret-songs with a funny
text about perhaps nothing or nonsense.

For you folks already started with films let me give you an example of
what I mean: there has been a film (don't ask me for the title) with a
"slapstick-dance" scene of one man behind the scenery of a theater.
The actor sang the song "Like a Clown" while doing his "slapstick-dance"
(before you ask: no, I'm not talking about a step-dance).

Well, I can't do exactly his show, but we can invent our own scene for it.
