Conlon Nancarrow Memorial on BBC Radio
By Robin Cherry

I heard that Conlon Nancarrow died last Sunday in Mexico City. Our
pianola pundit, Rex Lawson, did a live discussion about his life and work
with Anthony Burton over here in the UK on our BBC Radio Three network
last evening. I was on the audio mixing panel for the transmission, which
was "cosy". We played two items from the Nancarrow double CD issue.

He invented some amazing music. He will be missed.

Best wishes to all.
