Verbena Toy Barrel Piano
By Angelo Rulli

Gary Stevenson wrote of the Verbena toy "street organ" he is currently
restoring. I have two of these, unrestored, and they are the only two
I have ever seen.

Gary's description is identical to the two I have, except that one of
mine has a faux-grain-painted case. I also have one additional barrel
in the original box. All of this is still packed away. It's only been
seven months since we moved to our new place and everything is not yet
unpacked. I will forward the details to Gary with the hope he will be
producing an article for the MBSI Journal.

Of equal interest to me is whether there are other makers of such toy
pianos and, as Gary asks, whether they were made in other sizes. We
are generally familiar with the Faventia in both sizes; it's obvious
there was competition to the Faventia.
