Blowers for Air Calliope
By Bobb Partridge

A Tangley Model CA-43 requires from 3/4 to 1 pound of pressure at
100 CFM, and came with a Roots AF36 Rotary Pressure Pump. Suction
was provided by the input to the pump.

I have an article sent to me several years ago by Harvey Roehl that
lists a pressure and suction pump for use on a Tangley Model CA-43.
Both of these units were available from Grainger at the time:

Pressure: Grainger/Lamb Tangential discharge model 2M174

  Suction: Grainger/Lamb Model 2M265

Both of the units are installed in a soundproofing box on the lower
back of the Tangley. Harvey has used this system for many years with
great success. I had no trouble obtaining the units from Grainger but
have not had time to build the box.

I have one of the Roots pumps if someone just has to have one. It's
_very_ heavy.
