Smithsonian Institution Preservation Services
By John A. Tuttle

HI All, Although the following information doesn't answer any
questions, I thought it important enough to be archived at the MMD.

More emails going out today,

John A. Tuttle

Dear Mr. Tuttle:

Jane Woodall forwarded your question about hide glue to me. You should
contact a conservator in the National Museum of American History's
Preservation Services Office. They have done a lot of work with
adhesives and can give you good advice. Conservation contacts are as
follows:

Beth Richwine, Senior Objects Conservator, 202.357.1795,
  richwine@nmah.si.edu

Richard Barden, Senior Objects Conservator, 202.357.1795,
  barden@nmah.si.edu

snail mail:

  Smithsonian Institution
  National Museum of American History
  Preservation Services, Room ABo68
  Washington, DC 20560-0642

Also, can you make the following changes on the advice screen of the
Player-Care website:

For the Collection of Musical Instruments information, please change
the email address to info@info.si.edu. (Jane Woodall is our Office
manager and should not be receiving e-mails about collections.)

Please add our address:

  Smithsonian Institution
  National Museum of American History
Divisional of Cultural History Room 4100
  Washington, DC 20560-0616
  202.357.1707

Please remove the reference to Jerry Goldberg. All e-mails, letters,
and phone calls should go to the above listings. If someone does
e-mail us, they should include their mailing address as we often times
have to send information back to them. Once, again e-mails should be
sent to info@info.si.edu

Thanks in advance,

Sincerely yours,

Stacey Kluck
Collections Manager
Division of Cultural History
