Advertising at MMD
By Damon Atchison

I agree with Don Teach about posting E-bay items with just a mention
of what it is. I enjoy having somebody dig for me, and to watch E-bay.
That's less time I need to spend.

In regards to other things -- free items should definitely stay.
This is an asset to the hobby and the people on the Digest. I got
some scrap parts from an Aeolian player and somebody was able to use
one of those parts I had. I wasn't out to make a profit on it, just
to clean the basement!

As for profit items -- I don't think one or two "for sale" listings
daily at the bottom of the Digest hurts anything, and I think it's great
that there is some place that a seller can advertise for free without
having to pay so much for a web listing. However, the seller should be
a contributor to the MMD by an annual donation and shouldn't be selling
things in excess.
