Yamaha Disklavier Sustain Pedal Problem
By Damon Atchison

I was at a hotel last weekend and they had a Yamaha Disklavier.
I don't know if it was the piano or the disk, but the recording
artist had his foot GLUED to the sustain pedal. It actually sounded
like the sustain was lifted such that the dampers barely touched
the strings and gave a half-sustain for most of the song. Is this
typical of Disklavier music?

How well do most Disklavier disks compare in arrangement to original
piano roll artists?
