I keep seeing references to events that happen all over the world,
except for my neck of the woods, and thinking, "If something of the sort
comes close to me I definitely want to go and see it for the first
time".  I lurk and listen just about every night.

Then I read this account of the AMICA convention in Boston.  I never had
a clue that it was here.  I live 45 minutes away and I missed it all.
