Rating Music Roll Suppliers
By John Farrell

John Tuttle said: "As far as quality companies are concerned, I rate
QRS #1. Why? Their return policy. It's the most liberal in the
industry. As a dealer for some 20 years, I can boast that QRS will
take a roll back even if the buyer doesn't like the arrangement."

I am surprised that musical excellence is not mentioned at all, a
factor which is at the top of my list of priorities when determining
whether or not to buy a particular roll.

Sadly, the golden age of QRS has long gone. I will not labour the point
here because this subject has already been dissected on MMD, but will
simply say that, given my musical preferences and the infinitely
superior quality of other present day manufacturers' products, with the
exception of George Bogatko's superb contributions there is nothing of
the slightest interest to me in recent QRS catalogs.
