Johnny Maddox Web Site
By Bob Pinsker

Hi, folks! A few weeks ago, there was a thread on the great ragtime
pianist, Johnny Maddox. People were wondering what had happened to
him. I have a friend who happens to be a friend of his, and Mr. Maddox
visited him at his home in Oklahoma last night. Maddox was on his way
back from his gig at the hotel in Durango, Colorado, that somebody
pointed out last month. As it says on their web site, Maddox is
totally retired from the music biz, with the exception of that one gig
that he plays semi-regularly.

Some friends of his, however, have set up a web site on his behalf,
which includes an email address by which one may get in touch with
Mr. Maddox. One can also purchase two of his CDs, listen to RealAudio,
read a little bio of Mr. Maddox, etc. The URL is (rather inevitably,
considering his great hit record of 1955): http://www.crazyotto.com/

Anyway, I thought that people might be happy to hear that Johnny Maddox
is alive and well, and living in Tennessee!

Best regards,
Bob Pinsker
