Spencer Turbo Compressor
By Tom Grace

In a recent batch of organ parts I purchased there was a blower which,
when I saw it, I thought it was a Spencer Turbine Orgoblo. Upon
further inspection I see the plate reads "Spencer Turbo Compressor".
I did a little research and found out that the Spencer Turbine Company
had three branches: Spencer Turbine Orgoblo, Spencer Turbine Central
Vac Systems, and of course Spencer Turbo Compressor.

Does anyone out there know anything about the Spencer Turbo Compressor?
What were they used for? This unit was being used as an organ blower
on an organ of 7 ranks, and I am told it did the job fine for its small
size. I will also add it looks the same as the other Spencer Turbines
with the exception of a 90-degree elbow on the intake.

Thanks for any info. It may also be for sale in the near future.
