Piano Technicians Guild
By Jim Moore

I have a piano that was worked on by a PTG Associate back east, who
I would believe to be of a lesser status than a full member, and the
work done on it was mediocre at best.

The work consisted of restringing the piano as well as some action work.
This work was done prior to my ownership of the piano. While the work
looked sloppy it actually didn't affect the piano's playability.

Do associates have to pass any tests? Is there any follow-up on these
folks after certification/membership?
