Half Duo-Art Expression Box

Has anyone out there done any work on semi Duo-Arts?  That is half
a reproducing piano with only one knife valve and one accordion
pneumatic.

I am trying to restore an Aeolian Weber upright and find the
function/tubing of the "half" expression box totally mysterious.
Can anyone give some input?
