This is in response to Mike Kukral's posting about pirating music
rolls.  Scanning rolls is like taking a photograph of them.  Many of us
feel that it is important to scan as many old rolls as possible before
they deteriorate to useless.  What is done later with the scanned data
files is where problems may arise.

Making recuts from original old rolls may require permission from
copyright holders, and it is certainly unethical to copy current rolls
without permission.
