Replicating Seeburg Spool Chucks
By Don Teach

I recently completed a run of almost 100 spool chucks for the Wurlitzer
PianOrchestra. I am starting another run of Seeburg spool chucks.
Seeburg made these in several styles. The most common is the late
style with the web spokes on a cast aluminum hub. The earlier style
had rounded designs in the hubs.

I am thinking of making both styles since I saw a reproduction set sell
on eBay for way too much money. If anyone is interested in the project
they should contact me. The completed spools should cost about $100
each, all machined and ready to go. If you are real handy with a lathe
and machine tools you may just want the castings and I will sell those
also. The castings I hope to have available for $40 a set, plus
postage. Contact me soon as I am the king of making one run and that
is it.
