Replicating Standard Player "S" Pedal Mats
By Gordon Stelter

Thanks to worldwide help from collectors, 3D printing experts,
materials specialists, and the "Serendipity" which led me to an
untouched original pedal in an Atlanta warehouse, I am now close to
making these available in semi-rigid black rubber (Durometer 80) as
is used for reproduction brake pedal covers for classic cars, etc.

The photo enclosed is not the finished product; it's a hard plastic
3D printed earlier prototype, with not quite the right dimensions
(and quite obviously the wrong color), but it does show most of the
detail we were able to achieve.

At this point, I am estimating that I can make and ship them (postpaid)
in the U.S. at $80 per set. (I'll need to look into overseas rates.)
Interested parties, please email me privately.

Please note that the dimensions are 3-7/8 by 8-7/8 inches for the most
commonly found "Standard" brand player piano pedals, or 4 x 9 inches
after the metal frame is attached.

I have heard that there is a larger size, which I'll assume was used
in early instruments. If enough demand arises, I imagine that these
can also be made.

I am also interested in reproducing the decorative mats for other
brands, if supplied with reasonably intact examples to work from.
