Laterna Barrel Diameter

The laternae I saw strolling the streets of Thessaloniki (a.k.a.
Thessalonica or Salonica) looked like the ones in this photograph.
A barrel of two inches seems awfully small by comparison, but there is
no reason that there couldn't be a miniature version of the instrument.
