Progress on Mortier History Book
By Jan Kees de Ruijter

The Société Mortier is still busy working on the book about the history
of the famous firm of Th. Mortier. The writer of the book is the Dutch
music arranger Tom Meijer, who is heavily involved in the society. His
special interest in the many styles of organs Mortier made and in the
music that Mortier arrangers produced through the years will make this
a very interesting book. But Tom's music-arranging workload and the
question of how to finance the project make progress very slow.

But on the other hand, because of the delay some very nice photographic
material has come in recently. If anyone reading this progress report
has old photographs or other interesting material related to Mortier,
you might consider contributing copies to the society. You can contact
the society through Tom's email (tommanda@zeelandnet.nl) or email me,
since I am in close contact with Tom.
