Duo-Art vs. Ampico
By Craig Roothoff

You may well have started a riot, so I'll add my two cents. Regarding
which system is superior, if I were you I would put much more emphasis
on the quality of the work done on the instrument, since that's about
99.9% of where the quality resides. Either system will sound marvelous
if done well, and will sound terrible if botched.

There are plenty of examples of high and low quality work. Listen to
several pianos to see what you like -- and possibly discern high and
low quality work. You may develop a preference for a particular system.
The rest is like Ford vs. Chevy, Mercedes vs. BMW, Mac vs. PC, etc...

What about case design? Any preference for the drawer (Ampico) or over
the keyboard (Duo-Art) roll access?
