Building a Band Organ Facade
By Nigel Perry

I have reached the point with my band organ where I need to
start considering how to create the decorative facade. Given the
considerable weight of the instrument, and having looked at many
images of these machines, it occurs to me that the facades alone
must weigh a ton. Or is there a way of making the decorative
scrolls and mouldings out of something light?

This is no small machine, being 12 feet [3.66 m] across, fully
extended, and 6 feet 6 inches [1.98 m] high. I would be grateful
for some pointers and advice, please.

Best wishes,
Nigel Perry
