Mortier Organ "Dutchess"
By Ron Elenbaas

Greetings All, I wanted to touch base and tell you how much
I have enjoyed the e-mail publication. Thanks to all of the volunteers
and experts pitching in. This is for info only. As a first time
machine owner, we started small but are thrilled.

We are the new owner/caretakers of the Mortier organ "Dutchess".
It is serial nr. 1079 on the main case and 1050 and 1051 on the side
cases. We had the Decaps over for a week and they rebuilt her,
and she sounds fantastic. Our understanding is that she is the
combination of two organs, "Samba" and "Dutchess". The "Dutchess"
is now part of the Off Brothers Collection in Richland, Michigan.
We are primarily classic car collectors and "Dutchess" is played
daily in our museum.

Thanks for all the efforts to keep the community alive and vibrant.
