[ Thanks Terry for forwarding this to us. I didn't see it on USENET. I've sent
[ "Sbowers117@aol.com" an invitation to join the mailing list.
[
[ After having it pointed out, I had the good luck to catch this message before it
[ was deleted from the USENET News system I manage for my employer. This
[ message circulated on USENET in the group rec.music.makers.piano --- a
[ group that is automatically distributed to most machines connected to USENET.
[
[ USENET "News" pre-dates the Internet -- files were originally transferred
[ from machine to machine by modem via UUCP (Unix-Unix Copy). Today there are
[ over 20,000 machines and most machines get the files over the Internet via
[ TCP. The News volume has increased from a few megabytes per day (acceptable
[ for slow-ish modems) to over 200 MB/day on the weekends.

[ P.P.S The phone number in the header, above, is AOL's, not SBowers' number.
