Piano Rolls

Can anyone recommend any organizations, books or publications about
collecting piano rolls?  Though I've collected '78 records for years, I'm
new to rolls.  My most immediate problem is what, if anything, to do about
frayed edges on some of the rolls I recently bought.  Thanks in advance.
