Re: Silver Beach
By Brian Thornton

Near where I grew up in southwestern Michigan, on the lake Michigan shore near Benton Harbor, there was an old Amusement park Named Silver Beach. It started at the turn of the century. For a while it boasted on of the largest rollercoasters. I know they had several band organs including a very large Ruth. By the late 60s, Benton Harbor became a major welfare & crime center. Silver Beach died a slow painful death.
