A local player tech is fearless, and boasts that he had no problems rebuilding a glued Gulbranson action. His advice: "Buy a _good_ 10-inch blade for your table saw! Then you simply make a set of leather gaskets."
I sure he's not joking, but I think there's a lot more work than that.
