Re: Exact Scanning of Rolls (96.03.05)

Hi Wayne

Thanks for your extensive explanation of your roll scanner. Are you using a PC or a Mac and what port on the computer do you use to input the data. Also I would be interested in an overview of the program and programming language and also the interface used.

Unfortunately PKUnzip does not recognize the extracted file from the message as a PC ZIP file. Do you have any further suggestions as to how to unzip and how to view the files, as it is designed to drive a roll puncher.

I will attempt to record part of one of the tapes I have and send it to you in the near future - this is something I have not attempted as yet and will have to experiment a little to get a good result.
