Dear Craig,
The arrangements I've heard by George should sound mighty good on the big orchestrion you're building. Since you are planning to use electric valves anyway, may I suggest that you defer construction of the complicated multiplexing system, and get everything else working using a MIDI control system? It's quite possible your customer (and you!) will enjoy the convenience of MIDI files.
Digest member Mike Ames <ames@foxtail.com> has successfully equipped Mills Violana machines for MIDI, and similar electronics could easily be applied to your "monster Coinola!"
