Reproducer is _NOT_ a Piano

Hi Jody and contributors,
I know it's a matter of semantics (and historical accuracy), but a "reproducer" is the head of an Edison phonograph and has nothing to do with a piano. Now if you are speaking of a "reproducing" PIANO (copyrighted name by Aeolian for their Duo-Art) or a "re-enacting" (AMPICO) PIANO, then we're talking! (or even "re-performing" for that matter.) Have a good one.

To the fellow who complained about his wife selling the Gulbransen for $15. She didn't sell it because she was tired of hearing you complain about the piano, she was just tired of hearing you complain. Don't blame the piano. You CANNOT change one spark plug wire or tire on an antique car and expect it to "go". How long do people expect rubber to last?
In a lawsuit I read involving AEOLIAN (in 1934), one of the factory techs said (in 1934!!!!) that the buyers of the players (Duo-Art, in this case) could expect them to last 20 years at the most. Well, guys...this is what year? Ya gotta do EVERYTHING! No wonder your wives complain. |
