Pratt-Read player action for sale
By Ed Chaban

I have a complete Pratt-Read player action from a York upright piano that just was not worth the work. The action itself is in very good original (unrestored) condition. This is the "easy rebuild" type as illustrated in Reblitz pg. 130 fig. 6-99

I have the entire mechanism; stack, head; tracker bar, lead tubing, 6 pneumatic "Aeolian style teeter-totter" wind motor, supply bellows and pedal pneumatics. No automatic tracking mechanism (never had one)

Looks like it could be installed in any gutted upright instrument, or be used to homebrew an orchestrion. I have the original piano action as well and could supply it or the button assemblies (#6 & #7 in Reblitz illustration) which can be attached to the stickers in an existing upright action.

Located in San Jose CA. Make offer on any or all pieces.
