I just joined the list after 2 weeks of absence and found the question about the German society etc.
The official name since several years is no longer friends of ...
The new name is Gesellschaft fuer selbstspielende Musikinstrumente which may be translated as society for self playing musical instruments. The phone number of Juergen Hocker has changed recently. The new number is **49-2202-932524 the fax number is new too: **49-2202-932526
The approved practice for transferring the annual duties is to include a 100 DM bill in a letter to the society. Robbie Rhodes, who joined us recently has found out, that this is the cheapest way of transferring money in our computer age.
