MBSI is the Musical Box Society International. It is a worldwide
organization for people who like mechanical music such as band organs,
cylinder music boxes, disc music boxes, and orchestrions to name a
few. There is a chapter in Japan as well as some superb collections.
If you don't mind, I am going to forward this message onto Jody Kravitz
who is the moderator for a mechanical music bulletin board. It is an
ongoing discussion of mechanical music -- occasionally there will be a
music file to download (if you have a MIDI interface) and you can hear
some copies of mechanical music. If you would like to be on the
listing, just say so and he can include you in the updates.(they are
usually daily)
If you would like to become a member of the MBSI, you can write to the
following:
Beatrice Robertson, Membership Chair
12140 Anchor Lane, SW
Moore Haven, Florida 33471
USA
Thanks for your reply and I look forward to hearing from you again.
