As I just went through the Digest, I was thinking I can't read correctly:
> [ Bjorn, I think you are a "natural writer"! Please tell us more about
> [ the mechanical music in Belgium. Do you think that it will survive,
> [ without the government support as in the Netherlands?
Well, first of all, I didn't know of any government support in the Nether-
lands for mechanical music, but that could be 'cause of the Tradition that
mechanical music -- or, more precisely, the streetorgan -- has gained.
But anyway: How do you come across to even think it could _not_ survive
without support? In my opinion that's complete nonsense; sorry.
Just think about this Digest: there always will be enough crazy people to
keep it up -- with _no_ support! And, do you believe that it would have
survived up to now, if it wouldn't be at least cost-covering?
If I've been too sensible towards your question then excuse me, but
such things get me up to the roof.

[ Ah, I'm happy to hear from you again, Ingmar; you arrive like the
[ blast of a sudden wind! Please write more often, _before_ you go
[ through the roof! There is much you can tell us! :)

[ Yes, we are all crazy, but we know it. The arts of society, and the
[ preservation of those arts, are seldom subsidized.
[
[ Your premise is thoughtful, and we should learn more about the matter.
[ I hope that we hear from our members about this subject.
