An advertisement in the Philadelphia Inquirer says there is a player piano
(Cunningham Piano) for sale . I looked at it with a friend last week.
The case looks like it is original. The action has a typical upright
feel, with one missing hammer and one missing ivory cap. About 6-8 notes
have action issues that need attention. The player mechanism works okay
once the slack in the drive chain from the wind motor to the spool box
is pulled out. The soft pedal and damper pedal are manually activated,
by push rods, rather than pneumatic.
The piano was still available on Friday, Dec 20. This looks like a nice
project for someone. My friend has no experience with rebuilding piano
actions or players, so it was over his head. I cannot take on another
project. The lady's name is Carol and she said I could pass the word.
Her number is (215)-724-8252. This piano needs a good home. She was
asking $500.

PS: I received much assistance from this digest in rebuilding my player.
This is a wonderful communication link that would be hard to duplicate
outside the Internet. Many thanks to Jody and all the contributors.
