Jody and Robbie, I'd like to suggest that the web page offer the option of downloading zipped archives in addition to uncompressed. The Foxtail computer has been ghastly slow whenever I've tried to get anything, and zipping would reduce the traffic by half for those who can use it -- which is most people, since pkzip is free and runs on everything from big-machine Unix to 286-based DOS.

[ Jody is checking the options for improvement: either to replace his
[ Foxtail computer, or to move the Archive completely to the separate
[ web site host computer. The former option requires capital investment,
[ and the latter means recurring costs for renting disk storage space.
[ I think Jody said the Archive is presently 27 megabytes in compressed
[ form, and growing each day! -- Robbie |
