Hello everyone. My name is Bill Wineburgh, and I'm a musical-box-a-holic.
By way of introduction, my wife, Carolee, and I were 'bitten by the bug'
about 6 yrs ago and have accumulated a modest collection of musical boxes,
disc and cylinder. We are active in the East Coast Chapter of MBSI. I was a
music major in undergraduate school (percussion) but have been in the DP
world my whole career (so far, anyway). Carolee was trained in classical
piano.
I consider myself an 'apprentice' restorer, having attended Nancy Fratti's
school (a couple of times), and restored several boxes, but
not-yet-ready-for-prime-time (e.g. other peoples work).
In my travels, I've picked up a few musical box related items that I would
pass on to others. To help with that I've put a page up on the web at:

Regarding Hauke Marxsen's item on videos, in addition to those that Nancy
identified, there is another musical box video that I am familiar with. As
part of the 200th anniversary of the musical box, Reuge sponsored the
creation of a video entitled "1796 THE GREAT STORY OF THE MUSICAL BOX". It
was very well made by Creavision, SA in Switzerland. It was transcribed in
English, German and French and produced in European and American tape
formats.
I obtained a copy through Reuge, USA. You might contact Reuge Switzerland or
USA, but in Europe, you might also directly contact
