Illustrated Picture Rolls

One of the favourites in my house is "Aeolian Song Roll 26199, Nursery Rhymes Roll 1, Illustrated, Stanton, Made in Great Britain". It has 6 excellent Themodist arrangements of children's nursery rhymes. The illustrations are no less than 51 very clear line drawings in amongst the words, and one (yes, just one) over on the left-hand side when there wasn't room on the right. But times have changed, even in the nursery -- some of the words on this roll are not what we are used to at all!
