Hi Robbie, Sounds like a neat number, but I don't have any more info on it! Based on the subtitle, I'd say it's probably a raggy onestep instrumental number rather than a song. Coming out in 1919 it was right in the middle of the "arab/oriental" tune craze which generated hundreds of similar tunes.
Never heard of the name run-together on Kendis/Brockman, that's nice to know. Of course W. C. Polla wrote tons of stuff, including rags (as W. C. Powell), and lots of marches, waltzes, intermezzos, etc. This is the first reference I've seen linking him to the violin. I think Polla's biggest hit was "Dancing Tambourine" around 1927 (under his real name).
