Duo-Art Vorsetzer in Japan
By Megumi Imai

Hello! This is my first letter. I am not very good at English, so I may make mistakes, but please don't laugh at me.

In 1988 or 1989, I repaired that Vorsetzer in Tokyo, Japan. It was set to an about-90-keys Boesendorfer grand piano. There were a lot of old piano rolls. I think that was the great collection of Tushinsky. I don't know where they are now.

[ Megumi, your English is just fine. Instead of laughing, we have
[ for you a "Ceremonial Welcome Bow" to Mechanical Music Digest !
[
[ We have heard many tales about purchases by Japanese collectors,
[ but we actually know very little. Are the instruments well-
[ maintained? Are they often displayed? Do you work in the piano
[ industry? Please tell us more about the mechanical musical
[ instruments in Japan.
