Becquart and Schollaert
By Bjorn Isebaert

Hi there, I'd like to mention something about Becquart and Schollaert:
I'm quite sure the spelling is Becquart (and not something else). The
name Ghysbrecht was the family name of August Schollaert's wife.

I forgot to mention that the facade of the organ is not the original one.
We don't know when the original was removed and where it is nowadays. The
statues on the current facade are originally taken from the 72-key
Hooghuys organ of Mr. Norbert Vroman; the original facade of this last
organ is now the one of the 72-key Senior Hooghuys organ (if anybody
might know that one).

I'm planning to post an article about Hooghuys organs within a few weeks.
Dear editors: would you like the article 'at once' or 'in separate
volumes' (although I don't know yet how long it will be ...).

Thanks a lot for the nice reactions !

[ I think it is best that we publish in "volumes" of 2 to 3 kbytes,
