Dear Jody (and all the faithful subscribers),  I recently quoted and was
just made aware that I won a restoration bid on a 1962 Hardman Duo.
It's got the plastic valve block assemblies and few adjustments for lost
motion and is an altogether-poor excuse for a player action (compared to
all the clever mechanisms of the old ones).  But is indeed a standard
action (at least that's what's printed there).

As I consider the disassembly of the stack I wondered what kind of
adhesive was used to glue the finger pneumatics and valve blocks to the
deck boards and what might be the best, least damaging way to remove
them.  I'm about to experiment with an iron for the pneumatics, and was
curious to know what our learned subscribers might already know in the
way of helpful hints to make my endeavor a successful one.

Any experience with such a recent player system out there?  Any ideas
about breaking a glue bond that seems to prefer to break pneumatic boards
rather than release along the glue seam?  Any clues at all that might
help me?  All suggestions and anecdotal information would be most
welcomed.
