Robbie, that is close to what I am asking.  A valve could respond to a
Midi signal that operates a credit cancel pneumatic -- simple enough.

What I am trying to determine is after the machine shuts off and it is
started again,  how does the reader determine the next file to play from
without automatically or randomly going to the last tune played?  (I can
just hear the complaint -- sort of like a bizarre "Selectra" mechanism
gone mad: "I got ten tunes on the disk,  but the durn thing keeps playing
the last tune over & over again!!!!")

 [ If power to the disc reader fails, then when power is restored it must
 [ "reboot" and read the disc directory, and it will start playing with
 [ song #1.  Your customer's fears are real!  The reader unit will need
 [ special adaptation (internal programming) in order to respond to a
 [ signal from the coin switch, which commands "increment the coin
 [ counter and begin playing".  I don't know the answer, Steve; I hope
 [ someone in MMD can help us.  -- Robbie
