Classical vs. Pop Performances
By Terry Smythe

Robbie said:

[ It seems that, nowadays, when a jazz performer plays a bit of a
[ classic, people grin -- they recognize it. But if a performer of
[ classics intersperses a bit of a pop tune, the audience is likely
[ to frown -- because it's not the "traditional" performance they
 [ came to hear.

Unless of course it's Dudley Moore playing his delightful, humorous
arrangement of the Colonel Bogey March as if composed by Beethoven,
then gets stuck in the loop trying to end it..... :-)

Regards,

Terry Smythe

[ The audience heard what they came for, and grinned! -- Robbie
