The request in the last Digest for a source for a long-roll tracker frame
and a triangle for a Wurlitzer orchestrion leads me to throw out this
question to MMD readers:

All the original Wurlitzer band organ triangles I have seen are
distinctive in that one of the two open ends of a Wurlitzer triangle
is always drawn out to a blunt tapering point with a pronounced downward
bend.  Is this also characteristic of Wurlitzer orchestrion triangles
as well?  I would guess that it is.

Doyle Lane (802-235-2299) is the best source for original Wurlitzer
odds and ends, plus he has original sand-casting molds for spools and
the like.  I doubt he has what the inquirer wants, but a phone call to
Doyle might be worthwhile.

My impression is that roll frames on Wurlitzer instruments are fairly
interchangeable.  Seabreeze Park was lucky enough to pick up a dual-
tracker roll frame, complete with transfer chest and finger pneumatics,
from a collector who was converting a European band organ back to playing
book music that had once undergone a Wurlitzer factory conversion to
playing Wurlitzer's style 165 roll.  Miracles do happen.
